Fiona Clark’s new exhibition Raw Material recently opened at the Govett Brewster Art Gallery and Len Lye Centre.

Clark is interested in how dancers and body builders use gesture, pose and movement to engage audiences and sometimes, to challenge gender stereotypes. She describes the exhibition as an ‘archive’ of both her own work, and the stories of a ‘who’s who’ of New Zealand dance and body building, including Da Katipa, Val Deakin and Quentin Smith.

While my personal interests lie in sustainability across the environment and our community, I am clear that, if elected, my role is to represent the North Taranaki people and to advocate for our area. I will not push my own agendas. I want to see the maintenance of our Council assets and support for projects in our area.

I have worked extensively in the local voluntary sector over 39 years and built strong networks within groups that are often invisible or under-represented at Council level.

I offer integrity, accessibility and strong sense of fair play. I want to help people understand how Council systems work and to give them both hope and confidence that they are being listened to.
